Purpose of the Job To ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and availability of production machinery, equipment, utilities, and factory facilities through effective maintenance planning and execution while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Ensure full compliance with the Company's safety policies, procedures, and statutory requirements at all times. 2. Supervise, lead, and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to established procedures. 3. Conduct routine inspections of production machinery, equipment, utilities, and factory facilities to identify potential issues and ensure safe operation. 4. Plan, schedule, and implement preventive maintenance programs for production equipment, machinery, factory buildings, utilities, and supporting facilities to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency. 5. Coordinate corrective maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimize production interruptions. 6. Liaise and coordinate with external contractors for maintenance, repair, servicing, and inspection of factory facilities and utility systems where required. 7. Ensure all fire protection systems, firefighting equipment, and emergency facilities are properly maintained, inspected, and tested in accordance with legal and company requirements. 8. Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of: - Production machinery - Electrical systems - Fire alarm systems - Air-conditioning systems - Refrigeration and freezer systems - Water supply systems - Pumps - Lighting systems - Other mechanical and electrical equipment 9. Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, equipment history, and spare parts inventory. 10. Train, coach, and develop maintenance personnel to improve their technical knowledge, skills, productivity, and safety awareness. 11. Ensure adequate spare parts and maintenance consumables are available to support maintenance activities. 12. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and improve operational efficiency. 13. Perform any other duties or special assignments as instructed by the Superior or Management. Job Requirements 1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent qualification. 2. Minimum 2 years' working experience in a maintenance supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment. Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and utility maintenance. 3. Able to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation. 4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 5. Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Honest, responsible, disciplined, and a good team player. 6. Able to work independently and under pressure. 7. Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and safety regulations will be an added advantage.
