Job description
1. Equipment Operations & Reliability
- Oversee the full maintenance lifecycle for production machinery, including planning, execution, and supervision of all service activities.
2. Maintenance Workflow & Coordination
- Design and manage structured service schedules for all operational assets.
- Liaise with production teams to align maintenance windows with operational needs, ensuring minimal impact on output.
- Supervise the timely execution of work orders and service checklists.
3. Inventory & Resource Management
- Manage the supply chain for spare parts and consumables, ensuring critical stock is always available without overcapitalization.
- Oversee purchasing, storage, and inventory control for the maintenance workshop, ensuring proper organization and cost-efficiency.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized services and outsourced repairs.
4. Continuous Improvement & Capital Projects
- Champion initiatives to upgrade equipment, enhance energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
- Support company-wide programs aimed at improving manufacturing excellence, waste reduction, and overall productivity.
- Participate in the installation, commissioning, and modification of new or existing machinery.
5. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all service and maintenance work adheres to internal quality management systems, food safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to strict housekeeping standards.
- Support internal and external compliance reviews, ensuring all records and documentation are audit-ready.
6. Reporting & Administration
- Compile regular performance reports detailing downtime analysis, safety metrics, and completed improvement activities.
- Maintain comprehensive historical records for all equipment, including inspection logs and statutory compliance files.
7. General Support
- Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned to support broader operational goals and business objectives.
Job specification
- Diploma in any related engineering or technical field.
- Hands-on experience in maintenance work within a manufacturing or production environment, preferable in food industry.
- Familiar with keeping production equipment running smoothly, including routine servicing and breakdown repairs.
- Experience in high-volume industries is an advantage.
- Some exposure to quality and safety standards is preferred.
- Prior experience guiding or coordinating a small team is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
