Costing Executive

Work Location: Kuala Lumpur (KL)

We are looking for a Costing Executive to strengthen our financial controls and support inventory management within a precious metals recycling processes environment in Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for cost analysis, inventory valuation, reporting, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed cost reports covering material, labour and overhead costs

· Perform inventory reconciliation and ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, WIP and finished goods

· Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective actions

· Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial closing activities

· Analyse production costs, material yields and cost variances within precious metals recycling processes

· Prepare management reports and support strategic decision-making

· Support internal and external audits

· Collaborate with Operations and Business Development teams to improve inventory accuracy and cost efficiency

· Apply Incoterms knowledge to landed cost calculations and supplier cost analysis

Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

· 2–4 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or recycling environments

· Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management

· Experience using ERP systems is an advantage

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Autocount, Odoo, Deskera or similar)

· Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

· Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA or CMA) are an advantage
