Job Role: Infrastructure & Dev Ops Lead

Employer: Information Technology (IT) services and digital solutions company

Location: YTL Data Center, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Type: 12 months contract based (Extendable/Renewable based on performance)

Experience: Minimum 8 years of cloud infrastructure and DevOps experience with at least 3 years in an Infrastructure Lead or Cloud Architect role on enterprise platforms

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design and own the end-to-end Azure cloud infrastructure architecture for the Ranhill ICX platform including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, Azure Virtual Network, subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and private endpoints
  • Provision and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep), maintaining version-controlled IaC repositories with full change management
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for all ICX workstreams using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions including build, test gate, security scanning, staging, and production deployment stages
  • Implement and govern the monitoring and observability stack using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, and Prometheus, building dashboards and alerting rules for system health, performance SLAs, and security events
  • Design and implement the ICX platform container orchestration architecture on AKS including namespace design, resource quotas, horizontal pod autoscaling, and ingress controller configuration
  • Manage Kong API Gateway deployment topology within the AKS environment including Kong data plane and control plane configuration
  • Implement cloud security controls in alignment with the Security Engineer recommendations, including Key Vault secret management, managed identities, network segmentation, and RBAC for Azure resources
  • Lead and mentor the offshore Infrastructure Engineers, providing architectural direction, reviewing IaC code, and managing infrastructure delivery backlogs
  • Design and implement the business continuity and disaster recovery plan including geo-redundancy, RTO/RPO validation, and regular DR drill coordination
  • Manage Azure Reserved Instance commitments, resource tagging, cost allocation, and cloud cost optimisation across the programme lifecycle
  • Coordinate environment provisioning for development, SIT, UAT, staging, and production environments managing environment lifecycle and access controls
  • Produce infrastructure architecture documentation, operational runbooks, disaster recovery procedures, and the client IT handover guide.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum 8 years of cloud infrastructure and DevOps experience with at least 3 years in an Infrastructure Lead or Cloud Architect role on enterprise platforms
  • Microsoft Azure expert-level proficiency — Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305) or Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification is strongly preferred
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service including cluster design, node pool management, Helm chart deployment, and AKS networking
  • Expert proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (preferred) or Azure Bicep
  • Comprehensive CI/CD pipeline engineering experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions including multi-stage pipelines, environment approvals, and secret management
  • Strong expertise in Azure monitoring services — Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, and Prometheus
  • Experience implementing cloud security controls including Azure Key Vault, managed identities, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, and NSG design
  • Experience managing containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes including container image security, registry management, and lifecycle policies
  • Strong networking knowledge including VNet design, subnet segmentation, DNS, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity
