Drive business growth by identifying and developing new opportunities, leading strategic partnerships, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives in a multinational environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company objectives
- Identify new markets, business opportunities, and strategic partnerships to support growth
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders to enhance business outcomes
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and customer needs for strategic decision-making
- Create business proposals, presentations, and commercial plans to support new initiatives
- Collaborate with Headquarters and internal teams to coordinate business development activities and strategic projects
- Lead commercial negotiations and discussions with customers and business partners to secure agreements
- Monitor market developments and deliver regular business and market updates to Management
- Participate in customer visits, business meetings, exhibitions, and other business development events to promote company interests
- Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and management presentations to inform strategic planning
- Execute additional duties as assigned by Management to support business objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in spoken and written Japanese at JLPT N1 level to communicate with Japan HQ and translate documents between Japanese and English
- Proven experience in developing new business opportunities and managing strategic customer relationships
- Strong business acumen demonstrated through effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management in a multinational environment
- Skilled in market analysis, business planning, and commercial strategy development
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel for business as required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, International Business, or related discipline
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in business development, strategic sales, account management, or commercial management
- Experience working in a multinational or international business environment
