We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to deploy, administer, automate, and support enterprise Linux infrastructure across cloud, virtualised, and physical data centre environments. The successful candidate will support mission-critical systems, with a strong focus on RHEL/Linux administration, infrastructure automation, monitoring, security compliance, performance optimisation, and platform reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, patch, harden, and maintain RHEL/Linux servers.
- Administer systems across development, testing, production, and disaster recovery environments.
- Perform Linux troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and vulnerability remediation.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and patching using Ansible, Bash, and Python.
- Support cloud and virtual infrastructure and participate in proof-of-concept activities.
- Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Zabbix and resolve system performance or availability issues.
- Use BigFix for patch deployment, software distribution, endpoint management, and compliance reporting.
- Support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations.
- Provide Level 3 support and perform root-cause analysis for infrastructure incidents.
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in 24x7 standby and on-call support when required.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years of experience in Linux, cloud operations, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with RHEL/Linux, including LVM, networking, patching, and kernel tuning.
- Experience with Ansible and shell scripting; familiarity with Python.
- Experience supporting large-scale, production-critical environments.
- Working knowledge of Zabbix and BigFix.
- Understanding of security hardening, CIS benchmarks, and vulnerability remediation.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is an advantage.
- Red Hat certification such as RHCSA or RHCE is preferred.
- Banking or financial services experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of MAS TRM Guidelines and PCI-DSS requirements is an advantage.
- Willingness to provide after-hours, standby, and on-call support.
