Key Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis & Data Support
- Support analysis of manufacturing costs including direct labor, indirect labor, utilities, maintenance, and factory overhead costs.
- Assist in collecting and validating production, cost, and operational data for analysis.
- Prepare package-level cost breakdowns and cost-per-unit calculations under guidance from senior engineers.
- Support identification of cost drivers and process inefficiencies.
Manufacturing Process Analysis
- Learn and understand semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly SOT, SOD, QFN, and NQFN packages.
- Participate in process observation and data collection activities to identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist in documenting manufacturing workflows and process maps.
- Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Cost Reduction Projects
- Assist senior engineers in evaluating cost-saving opportunities.
- Support preparation of cost-benefit analyses for process improvements and automation projects.
- Track project actions, timelines, and realized savings.
- Help monitor performance indicators related to productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to gather information and support improvement projects.
- Participate in meetings and workshops related to cost optimization and operational excellence.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for management reviews.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations on manufacturing costs and project progress.
- Maintain databases, costing models, and project documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used for analysis and reporting.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical & Analytical
- Basic understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Charts, basic formulas).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Power Query, python software is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Problem Solving & Learning
- Strong willingness to learn semiconductor manufacturing processes and cost management concepts.
- Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a structured approach to work.
Communication & Teamwork
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn from experienced colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related disciplines).
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Internship or university project experience in manufacturing, process improvement, industrial engineering, or data analysis is an advantage.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong academic record and demonstrated analytical capability.
