Responsibilities:
- Develop responsive web applications based on given designs using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, utilising Angular, React, and potentially Vue.js.
- Maintain and support applications via content updates, promotional page development, hotfixes, change requests, and more.
- Work closely with the project team in the areas of design, requirement gathering, implementation, coding and testing.
- Ensure all source codes are bug-free, optimised, and written in compliance to company’s standard.
- Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining quality output.
Additional for mid-levels and above:
- Independently evolve own skills, and stay up-to-date with the latest front-end and UI/UX trends and practices.
- Be able to advise on and create positive, impactful UI/UX outcomes via front-end codes, such as micro-interactions, transitions and animations.
Additional for seniors and above:
- Manage, lead and mentor other team members to ensure quality of work and continued growth.
- Take briefs, digest requirements, identify appropriate solutions, assess the effort required, work with the project team to furnish the proposal, and potentially participate in the presentation of said proposal.
- Help in spearheading new pillars of growth for the front-end team.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- At least a Diploma / Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Any working experience related to software or web application development.
- Fresh graduates and interns are encouraged to apply.
Requirements & Technology Stacks:
- Solid foundation in HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript to create clean & scalable code for cross browser compatible, responsive web applications
- Positive attitude and broad mindset to conceptualize business requirements and provide practical solutions
- Hands-on experience in Angular, React, and/or Vue.js
- Know-how on Figma or similar design tools to examine the design and extract the required visuals and details
- Knowledge of source control management using Git
Additional for mid-levels and above:
- Understanding of APIs/REST principles and semantics, and hands-on experience in integrating API.
- Understanding of various coding principles, such as synchronous and asynchronous code execution, object-oriented programming, functional programming, and MVC principles.
- Understanding of intermediate framework features, such as state management and lifecycle hooks.
- Experience in creating flexible, reusable components, modules and services with proper separation of concerns, functional extensibility, and accompanying documentation.
- Keenly sensitive to the factors that lead to good UI/UX on a web application.
Additional for seniors and above:
- Good understanding of Git branching methodologies.
- Understanding of advanced framework features, such as server-side rendering, static site generation, and code bundle optimisation.
- Experience in meta frameworks such as Analogue.js, Next.js, and/or Nuxt.js.
- Understanding of the workflow process of a project from start to end, including but not limited to the domains of: pitching, UI/UX, front-end, back-end, infrastructure, testing, and deployment
Good to have:
- Experience in low-code development, such as OutSystems.
- Experience in Shopify theme customisation.
- Experience in documentation.
- Experience in highly interactive projects, such as games or competitions.
