Role Description As a Software Engineer / Software Developer / Application Developer at Sustainable AI Group, you will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support AI-driven and data-centric solutions. You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable code and scalable system architectures. Typical responsibilities include implementing back-end services and APIs, integrating data pipelines, reviewing code, writing unit and integration tests, and troubleshooting production issues. You will also participate in technical discussions, contribute to documentation, and help improve development processes and tooling. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Singapore River, with a mix of on-site collaboration and flexibility for work-from-home arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar).
• Experience in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful APIs, working with databases, and integrating services in distributed systems.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain clean, testable, and well-documented code in collaborative version-controlled environments (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization or orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Understanding of or interest in AI, machine learning, or data engineering concepts, and willingness to work closely with data-focused teams.
• Effective communication skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and openness to feedback in a diverse and inclusive environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
