Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor and arrange freight networks for import/export and transhipment via sea, air, or road according to shipping instructions.
• Review transportation options and routes to ensure cost-effective solutions for sea, air, and land freight.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive cost efficiencies and improve freight consolidation within Asia Pacific and across Asia Pacific-Europe/USA.
• Analyse shipment reliability and service provider performance.
• Maintain open communication with logistics partners regarding container availability and any potential issues.
• Provide logistics partners with accurate forecasts of shipping needs, monitor and plan container availability, especially during peak seasons.
• Contact logistics providers directly for urgent shipment status updates.
• Verify freight bills and manage monthly freight provisions.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of shipment lead times, updating SQL and planning systems accordingly.
• Design new business processes, re-engineer existing ones, and define operational metrics to enhance efficiency.
• Communicate and update management on potential issues and risks, taking proactive steps to ensure business continuity.
• Handle escalations and manage compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Inventory Control:·

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels and minimise carrying costs.
• Conduct regular inventory analysis and forecasting to anticipate demand and prevent stockouts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or warehousing operations.
• Experience in freight management, shipping, inventory control, purchase order processes, vendor coordination, and logistics documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with partners, colleagues, and customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of SQL systems will be an added advantage.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, meticulous, and willing to learn.
• Possess a valid Class D driving licence and be willing to travel.
• Candidates who can commence work immediately will be given priority.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,800.00 per month
