Technician Position Summary

The Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general building systems. This role supports the smooth day to day operation of the hotel by maintaining facilities, responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring all equipment is safe, functional and operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel facilities, equipment and building systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, mechanical and other maintenance related issues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms and hotel departments.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential maintenance concerns and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in accordance with safety standards, company policies and local regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, safe and organized condition.
• Record maintenance activities, repairs and equipment servicing accurately.
• Assist with renovation projects, installations and other engineering tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate with external contractors when required and monitor the quality of work performed.
• Support the Engineering Department in maintaining a safe, comfortable and well maintained environment for guests and employees.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a maintenance or technician role, preferably in a hotel or commercial building.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and general building maintenance systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and respond to emergency maintenance situations when required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possession of relevant technical certifications or licenses will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
