About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Coordinator / Quantity Surveyor / Engineer Assistant with strong technical knowledge and hands‑on project coordination skills. The role supports electrical project documentation, submissions, compliance, and on‑site execution across multiple project stages.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Documentation
- Prepare and distribute sketch drawings to drafters, clients, and main contractors to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Interpret project scope, review plan submissions, obtain approvals, and coordinate on‑site execution.
- Prepare and submit electrical shop drawings in accordance with project specifications.
- Maintain and verify submission lists for materials, RFIs, shop drawings, and audit tracking.
- Issue Method of Statement (MOS) and approved drawings to Project Managers for smooth site operations.
- Compile progress reports using PowerPoint, including photos, location details, and test reports.
- Send email reminders and follow‑ups to address shortfalls in architectural or structural drawings.
Technical Review & Compliance
- Manage and review Request for Information (RFI) submissions to resolve technical queries.
- Prepare Material Catalogues, project references, and RFAM forms.
- Review tender drawings for discrepancies, non‑compliance, installation difficulty, and space requirements.
- Review shop drawings for compliance, constructability, and ease of installation on site.
- Apply knowledge of electrical Codes of Practice (SS638, CP5, SS530, SS531, SS555, SS551, SS650) to ensure compliance.
- Support sustainable project practices with basic Greenmark knowledge.
- Fully understand and support sub‑station handover procedures.
Planning, Scheduling & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare submission lists and order lists, including item breakdown and delivery scheduling.
- Attend project meetings and resolve technical issues with consultants, clients, and main contractors.
- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and information flow.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the electrical field as QS, Site Coordinator, or Engineer Assistant.
- Strong understanding of electrical Codes of Practice (SS638, CP5, SS530, SS531, SS555, SS551).
- Experience preparing RFIs, Material Catalogues, RFAM forms, and submission documentation.
- Ability to review tender and shop drawings for compliance and constructability.
- Familiarity with sub‑station handover procedures.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
