Systems Analyst – Equities Trading Systems

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to join a high-performing technology team supporting mission-critical Equities Trading Systems within the banking and financial services industry. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through production support, while delivering robust and scalable trading solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business and technical requirements for trading system enhancements.
• Design, develop, implement, and support Equities Trading and Market Data systems.
• Participate in functional design, technical design, development, testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and production support.
• Develop and support FIX Protocol interfaces for order routing and trade processing.
• Implement and maintain Message Queue (MQ) integrations between internal and external systems.
• Support applications running on Java, Oracle, MS SQL, and Linux/Unix platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimise system performance.
• Work closely with business users, vendors, infrastructure teams, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and architectural standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 10 years of IT experience, with at least 6 years in Banking & Financial Services.
• Proven experience supporting Equities Trading Systems or Capital Markets applications.
• Strong knowledge of FIX Protocol and Message Queue (MQ).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, performance tuning, and data analysis.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and Shell Scripting experience.
• Good understanding of the equities trading lifecycle and capital markets operations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Neoxam Datahub, DZH Equities Trading Systems, or similar brokerage/trading platforms.
• Experience integrating market data feeds and vendor trading platforms.
• Exposure to regional or global trading system implementations.
