We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Group Accountant to join our Group Finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role is responsible for Group financial reporting, consolidation, review of subsidiary accounts, taxation, deferred tax accounting and ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong audit background with solid technical accounting knowledge and experience in a group reporting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Group consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments and holding company account to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and MFRS.
• Review financial reports and management accounts submitted by subsidiaries to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with Group accounting policies and MFRS.
• Prepare and review corporate income tax and deferred tax computations, coordinate tax submissions and liaise with external tax agents on compliance and tax matters.
• Coordinate annual statutory audits, prepare audit schedules, resolve audit queries and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial announcements, Annual Report in compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and MFRS.
• Provide technical accounting support on complex transactions and ensure compliance with new and existing MFRS requirements.
• Review and enhance finance processes, strengthen internal controls and support new system implementation and finance automation initiatives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, finance transformation projects, corporate exercises and other ad-hoc assignments as delegated by the CFO.
• Liaise and coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, share registrar, bankers, investors, regulatory authorities and relevant government agencies on audit, taxation, statutory reporting, corporate compliance and finance-related matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA or CIMA is preferred.
• MIA member
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates with audit firm experience are highly preferred.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in Group consolidation or financial reporting.
• Experience in a listed company or with Bursa Malaysia reporting will be an added advantage.
