Key Responsibilities
Prepare, stock, clean, and maintain the bar before, during, and after service.
Prepare and serve beverages according to company recipes, presentation standards, and guest orders using the POS system.
Recommend and upsell food and beverages to enhance guest experience and achieve sales targets.
Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, including spirits, cocktails, coffee, beer, wines, pricing, and wine regions/varietals.
Process cash, credit card, complimentary, and other payment transactions accurately.
Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally, replacing beverages where appropriate and maintaining required records.
Monitor inventory, requisition and rotate stock, replenish supplies, and report equipment or dispensing system issues.
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, food safety, hygiene, workplace safety, and emergency procedures.
Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and other operational duties as assigned.
Attend meetings, training sessions, and work special events or additional shifts when required.
Maintain positive working relationships with guests, colleagues, and management while supporting a collaborative team environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Good knowledge of spirits, cocktails, coffee, beer, and wines, including wine styles and varietals.
Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
Ability to multitask, work accurately under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and overtime.
Previous bartending or hospitality experience and familiarity with POS systems are preferred.
Frequently lift and carry beverage stock and supplies.
Perform bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, overhead reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
