About the Role

• We are seeking a globally recognized Technical Chief Market Officer (CMO) to lead the company's market strategy, technology positioning, and global industry engagement in the rapidly growing Optical Interconnect and Photonics sector.
• This is not a traditional marketing role. The successful candidate will serve as the company's technical ambassador and industry thought leader, representing the organization at major international conferences, engaging with strategic customers, and driving the commercialization of next-generation optical technologies for AI networking and hyperscale data centers.
• Reporting directly to the CEO, the Technical CMO will bridge technology, market strategy, and customer engagement while influencing the company's long-term business direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's global market strategy for optical interconnect and photonics technologies.
• Represent the company at major international industry conferences and exhibitions (e.g. OFC, ECOC, CIOE, Photonics West, SEMICON) through keynote speeches, technical presentations, and panel discussions.
• Act as the company's technical spokesperson and industry evangelist, enhancing global brand recognition and thought leadership.
• Build strong relationships with hyperscale customers, strategic partners, research institutes, and industry associations.
• Communicate complex optical communication technologies to executive-level customers and stakeholders.
• Support global business development activities by providing technical expertise during customer engagements.
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Product teams to define technology roadmaps, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to guide corporate strategy.
• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategic initiatives, partnerships, and market expansion opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• PhD preferred in:
• Optics
• Photonics
• Electrical Engineering
• Physics
• Semiconductor Engineering
• or related disciplines

Experience

• 15+ years of experience within Optical Communication, Optical Interconnect, Silicon Photonics, or related industries.
• Strong customer-facing experience in technical marketing, product management, strategic business development, or technology leadership.
• Proven experience presenting at international conferences or representing companies in industry forums.
• Deep understanding of optical networking technologies and market trends.
