Job Summary

The Artwork Assistant is responsible for preparing, checking, and maintaining PCB artwork files before the manufacturing process. This role supports the Engineering team to ensure PCB designs are accurate, meet customer requirements, and are ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Artwork Preparation & Editing

• Assist in preparing PCB artwork files based on customer design data
• Perform artwork editing and modifications according to engineering instructions.
• Assist in generating production-ready artwork layers for PCB manufacturing.
• Ensure artwork files are properly named, organized, and stored.

2. Design Verification & Checking

• Conduct basic checking on PCB artwork before production release.
• Verify layer information, dimensions, hole sizes, line width, spacing, and other design requirements.
• Check for possible errors such as missing data, incorrect layers, or mismatched specifications.
• Support Engineering team

3. CAM / Engineering Support

• Assist CAM Engineers in preparing PCB manufacturing data.
• Support data conversion and preparation using PCB software tools.
• Update artwork according to Engineering Change Notice (ECN) or customer revisions.
• Maintain records of artwork revisions and changes.

4. Documentation & Filing

• Maintain proper documentation of artwork files and production records.
• Update artwork status tracking and revision history.
• Ensure all documents comply with company procedures and quality requirements.

5. Production Support

• Provide technical support to Production, Quality, and Engineering departments regarding artwork issues.
• Assist in resolving production problems related to artwork data.
• Coordinate with internal departments for urgent artwork changes.

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Engineering, Electronics, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in PCB manufacturing, CAM, or artwork preparation is an advantage.
• Familiar with PCB manufacturing process is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn PCB design software and manufacturing processes.

Technical Skills (Advantage)

Familiar with PCB CAM software such as:

• Genesis
• AutoCAD

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
