Our client, a technology consulting and software development company, is looking for a Software Engineer to join its growing team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This role is ideal for software developers who are interested in expanding their expertise into Low-Code application development using the Mendix platform while working on enterprise digital transformation projects.

Successful candidates will receive structured training on the Mendix Low-Code Development Platform and gain opportunities to collaborate with local and international clients across various industries. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business IT Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1–5 years of software development experience.
• Able to communicate fluently in English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent).
• Experience working within Agile and/or Scrum development environments.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with React Native is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with the Mendix Low-Code Platform is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients and business stakeholders.
• Willing to travel internationally for project implementations when required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using the Mendix Low-Code Development Platform.
• Participate in Agile software development activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Scrum ceremonies.
• Gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements.
• Perform application testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvements.
• Understand client business processes and recommend technology-driven solutions to support digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with clients, project stakeholders, and internal development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and project support.
• Stay updated with emerging software development technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Contribute ideas to improve development methodologies, products, and service delivery.
• Provide on-site implementation support when required.
• Travel overseas for project deployments and client engagements as needed.
