CFI, a finance brokerage company, is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join its growing technology team based in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya.
This role is ideal for an experienced DevOps professional with a strong background in monitoring, observability, and infrastructure reliability. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining enterprise-grade monitoring solutions, developing insightful dashboards, and ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of critical infrastructure and applications.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and visualisation tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, ELK Stack, Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, and AWS cloud environments.
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of observability concepts, including logging, distributed tracing, and metrics collection.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end monitoring and observability solutions using industry-leading monitoring platforms.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to provide visibility into infrastructure health, application performance, and service-level indicators (SLIs).
- Configure and optimise alerting strategies to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure applications are fully instrumented with metrics, logs, and traces.
- Automate monitoring infrastructure and alerting configurations using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Integrate monitoring and observability processes into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain and optimise monitoring platforms to ensure scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Support incident response by providing actionable telemetry data and assisting with root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, playbooks, and technical documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives following production incidents.
- Define monitoring standards and best practices across engineering teams.
- Evaluate emerging monitoring technologies and provide guidance on dashboard usage and performance metrics.
