About the role

The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation at Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC). You will supervise junior staff, maintain kitchen standards, and contribute to smooth daily operations. This role is ideal for individuals with strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering excellent dining experiences.

What You Will Do

• Section management: Oversee assigned kitchen station (grill, pastry, hot kitchen, etc.).
• Food preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Quality control: Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and presentation.
• Team supervision: Guide and train commis chefs and kitchen helpers.
• Inventory management: Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
• Compliance: Follow food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.

Who We Are Looking For

• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, hotel, or catering environment is an advantage, but entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic are welcome.
• Education: Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
• Passion: Strong interest in cooking and kitchen operations.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Team player: Cooperative and positive attitude.
• Possess a valid Typhoid vaccination and Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain them upon hiring).
