Flare Dynamics is a Singapore-based unmanned systems company specialising in drone solutions, red-teaming operations, and advanced aerial platforms. We operate at the frontier of unmanned systems development and work closely with government and commercial clients. We are now building the software platform that sits behind that work, and we want a builder to help bring it to life. If you want your code running behind real unmanned systems, this is your team.
Role Overview
This is a build-things role for someone who wants their software to shape real-world operations. You will work directly with the founders and own meaningful parts of the product from an early stage.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build full-stack features end to end, from interactive front-end interfaces to the back-end services and APIs that power them
- Build interactive, data-rich visualisations and dashboards using modern web rendering
- Design and build secure, multi-tenant back-end services with role-based access, clean data models, and well-structured REST APIs
- Write secure, well-tested code to a standard suitable for security-sensitive environments
- Troubleshoot issues across the full stack: front-end, back-end, data, and infrastructure
- Document build configurations, architecture decisions, and technical notes so the team can build on your work
- Collaborate closely with founders and ship fast, turning feedback into working software in short cycles
- Stay current with modern web, cloud, and data tooling, and bring the best of it into the platform
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven full-stack experience delivering production web applications. Show us what you have built
- Solid back-end skills in Node.js and/or Python, with a track record of designing and building REST APIs
- A security-conscious mindset and care for clean, maintainable, well-documented code
You Are a Good Fit If You
- Are comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment where the scope of your role will grow with the company
- Are passionate and driven, and would rather ship something meaningful and improve it than wait for perfect conditions
- Have data engineering exposure (data pipelines, ETL, data versioning), or are keen to grow into it
- Have experience with cloud and containerisation
- Have data visualisation depth and/or mapping / geospatial libraries
- Have a genuine interest in drones, unmanned systems, defence, or security technology
- Are comfortable working solo, with an exploratory, self-taught mindset and the drive to figure things out independently
What We Offer
- Direct exposure to government-grade and commercially deployed drone systems
- Opportunity to work on counter-UAS red-teaming platforms and advanced unmanned systems projects
- Small team environment with high individual ownership and fast career progression
- Opportunity to participate in our Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) — we believe the people who build this company should share in what it becomes
- Healthcare coverage for all full-time employees
- Opportunities for funded training, certifications, and courses relevant to your role
