Company Description

MIE INDUSTRIAL SDN BHD is engaged in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) projects for the energy and petrochemical sector. The company has contributed to key projects such as the EMSB CGC & RD Project and the Ethane Maximizing (EMAX) Project for Ethylene Malaysia Sdn Bhd, with Toyo Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd as a major client. Its work includes detailed electrical and instrumentation design in accordance with Petronas Technical Specifications and local regulatory requirements. Typical deliverables cover single line diagrams, street lighting layouts, hazardous area classification, grounding plans, and cable sizing and schedule documentation. The company also manages multidisciplinary teams of engineers, QA/QC inspectors, supervisors, and site workers to deliver complex construction scopes.


Role Description

The Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. The Project Manager will lead and manage all civil, structural, and infrastructure works, ensuring project execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets for sizable development projects. Daily responsibilities include providing technical leadership on complex site and engineering issues, coordinating closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and relevant authorities, and overseeing contractor performance to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. The role involves chairing project meetings and progress reviews, managing project risks, changes, and claims, and supporting contract administration including evaluation of progress claims, variations, and final accounts. The Project Manager will also ensure timely submission of reports and documentation, and maintain compliance with local authority and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in civil, structural and infrastructure works for sizable development projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale developments (township, industrial, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects).
  • Strong technical knowledge in civil, structural and infrastructure design and construction.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian standards, authority requirements and construction practices.
