• Monitor and ensure company compliance with debt collection laws, regulations, and internal policies (e.g., PDPA, AMLA, Fair Debt Collection Practices).
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of collection activities and documentation.
• Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide compliance training to staff and ensure understanding of legal obligations and ethical standards.
• Investigate compliance issues, complaints, or breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, legal advisors, and clients as necessary on compliance-related matters.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry developments affecting debt recovery and financial services.
• Maintain records of compliance activities, findings, and follow-up actions.
• Support licensing and reporting requirements under governing authorities (e.g., Central Bank, financial regulatory commissions).
