Job description:

Agroz Group is a Malaysian Agritech company specializing in indoor vertical farming—designing, building, operating, and selling controlled-environment agriculture farms, as well as growing and distributing fresh produce locally. We integrate with technology (software, AI, IoT), sustainability (soil-free, water-efficient, pesticide-free), and education/awareness (urban farm in a mall) to disrupt traditional farming models and enhance food security, local freshness, and supply-chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performance Management

• Develop, implement, and maintain performance management frameworks, KPIs, and scorecards across operations teams.
• Track operational KPIs (productivity, yield, wastage, cost efficiency, attendance, compliance, service levels).
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for management review.
• Analyse data trends, identify performance gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support management in target setting, performance reviews, and improvement plans.
• Ensure alignment between individual/team KPIs and overall business objectives.

2. Operations Management

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day operational performance across farms, outlets, and operational units.
• Support the development, review, and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work with operations leaders to improve workflow efficiency, manpower utilization, and process consistency.
• Identify operational risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies and propose improvement initiatives.
• Support new outlet/farm setup, operational rollouts, or process changes when required.

3. Continuous Improvement & Projects

• Lead or support process improvement initiatives (cost optimisation, productivity improvement, waste reduction).
• Drive data-based decision making by improving reporting accuracy and visibility.
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving Operations, HR, Finance, and Technology.
• Support implementation of digital tools or systems related to operations and performance tracking.

4. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between management and operations teams to ensure clarity of expectations and performance standards.
• Collaborate with HR on manpower planning, performance review cycles, and capability development.
• Support management in preparing presentations, reports, and updates for leadership meetings.

• Achievement of operational KPIs and targets
• Accuracy and timeliness of performance reporting
• Reduction in operational inefficiencies and costs
• SOP compliance rate
• Improvement in productivity and performance trends
• Successful delivery of improvement projects

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Agriculture Management, or related fields.

Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in operations management, performance management, business analytics, or operational excellence.
• Experience in agriculture, retail, FMCG, manufacturing, or operations-heavy environments is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in KPI tracking, reporting, and process improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
