Company Description MIE INDUSTRIAL SDN BHD is engaged in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) of complex industrial projects, including the EMSB CGC & RD and Ethane Maximizing (EMAX) projects for Ethylene Malaysia Sdn Bhd. Working closely with Toyo Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd, the company delivers electrical and instrumentation solutions that comply with Petronas Technical Specifications and local regulatory requirements. Project work includes detailed design activities such as single line diagrams, street lighting layouts, hazardous area classification, grounding plans, and cable sizing calculations. The organization also oversees construction teams consisting of engineers, QA/QC inspectors, supervisors, and site workers to ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery of projects.

Role Description

The Site Engineer (Civil & Structural) role is a full-time, on-site position based on the data centre construction project. The individual in this role will monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements, with a focus on civil and structural works. Day-to-day tasks include conducting regular site inspections, preparing progress and quality reports, verifying construction methodologies and work procedures against industry standards, and maintaining detailed records such as daily logs, material testing results, and QA documentation. The Site Engineer will collaborate with structural engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues, ensure structural integrity and building code compliance, uphold safety standards, and support project scheduling, resource planning, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in construction engineering or site management within civil and structural engineering projects / data centre; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, work procedures, and safety protocols in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Working knowledge of structural integrity requirements and applicable building codes.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Proficient in preparing site inspection reports, daily logs, and quality assurance documentation.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with engineers and project managers.
• Familiarity with project scheduling, resource planning, and basic cost control practices.
