Role Description The Informatica Developer role is a contract, on-site position based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. In this role, the developer designs, builds, and maintains Informatica-based ETL processes to support enterprise data integration and analytics needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing data workflows, implementing data quality rules, and supporting master data and metadata management initiatives. The Informatica Developer collaborates with architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs, and ensure stable, secure, and performant data solutions. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, performing performance tuning, and contributing to continuous improvement of data engineering standards and best practices.
Qualifications

• Strong experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) development using Informatica and related tooling, including design, implementation, and performance optimization of ETL workflows.
• Proficiency in Data Integration concepts, including integrating data from multiple heterogeneous sources, building data pipelines, and ensuring reliable data movement across systems.
• Knowledge of Data Quality practices, such as profiling, validation, cleansing, and monitoring to ensure accurate, consistent, and trustworthy data.
• Experience with Master Data Management, including defining master data entities, managing reference data, and supporting governance and stewardship processes.
• Solid understanding of Data Modeling principles, including relational and dimensional modeling, schema design, and best practices for data warehousing.
• Relevant experience as an Informatica Developer or Data Engineer in enterprise environments; exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
• Ability to write efficient SQL, analyze complex data sets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a structured, agile delivery environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
