We are a fast-growing distributor of educational toys, is looking for a hybrid Inventory & Data Analyst to manage consignment stock accuracy and act as a data partner to the business — turning warehouse and sales data into clear, actionable insights.
What You'll Do
1. Inventory Control
- Perform reconciliations between manual/physical stock counts at consignment locations and customer-submitted sales reports
- Obtain regular audit records across consignment outlets to maintain accuracy
- Investigate root causes of discrepancies (unreported sales, returns, damages, shrinkage) and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor stock levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking, and recommend replenishment/allocation adjustments by outlet
2. Sales & Product Movement Analytics
- Analyze product and brand-level movement across consignment channels to identify trends and seasonal patterns
- Build and maintain graphs/dashboards that make fast-moving vs. slow-moving products easy to spot at a glance
- Track KPIs such as inventory turnover, days of supply, sell-through rate, and fill rate by product/brand/outlet
- Mine sales and stock data to flag anomalies between reported sales and physical counts
3. Stakeholder Partnership & Reporting
- Translate purchasing, sales, and operations needs into data requirements
- Present findings — especially discrepancy trends and fast-mover insights — in a clear, visual, decision-ready format
- Support purchasing decisions with data-backed recommendations on replenishment and allocation
4. Strategic Project Involvement
- Identify areas where better data logic or reporting can improve stock accuracy and efficiency
- Lead or support data-driven improvement projects from proposal to execution
- Continuously refine reporting tools/dashboards as the consignment network grows
What You Bring
- Diploma/Degree in a quantitative field (or equivalent sales/inventory analytics experience)
- 1–3 years' experience in inventory analysis, data analytics, or consignment/retail stock
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, charting)
- Familiarity with inventory/accounting systems
- Detail-oriented, data-driven, strong communicator
- High attention to detail with a "zero-error" mindset on data accuracy
