1.0 Job Responsibilities

• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, and patrol inspection according to standard work instructions (WI)
• Inspect key SMT process steps such as solder paste printing, chip placement, reflow soldering, AOI, SPI, etc., for defects including polarity errors, tombstoning, bridging, insufficient or excess solder, misalignment, and cold solder joints
• Verify operator compliance with production procedures, ESD handling, first article confirmation, and material verification
• Immediately report any quality issues or abnormalities to production leaders or QA engineers, and follow up on corrective actions
• Ensure all inspection records are completed accurately, honestly, and in a timely manner
• Assist QA or engineering teams in confirming and analyzing process defects
• Inspect product and material labeling to ensure proper traceability
• Support customer or internal audits by preparing documentation or providing on-site explanations
• Comply with company 5S, safety, and quality regulations.

2.0 Job Requirement

Education & Experience:

• High school, vocational school, or higher qualification in electronics or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in SMT/PCBA quality inspection
• Familiarity with electronic components and basic IPC-A-610 standards is an advantage

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in using visual inspection tools (e.g., magnifiers, microscopes)
• Knowledge of first article, patrol, and sampling inspection procedures
• Ability to read basic circuit diagrams, BOMs, and placement drawings
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel and Word) for reporting and record-keeping

Soft Skills:

• Detail-oriented, responsible, and disciplined
• Willing to work in shifts and perform overtime when required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Proactive in identifying and reporting quality issues

Language:

• Proficiency in English and the local language (as required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
