- Lead the end-to-end architecture, development, and optimization of high-impact, distributed backend systems that power global transactional engines.
- Maintain a highly hands-on technical presence, dedicating the majority of your time to writing and reviewing production-grade code.
- Drive large-scale, cross-team engineering initiatives and mentor senior engineering talent through technical leadership.
- Own entire feature lifecycles, from refining complex business requirements to deployment, testing, and production support.
- Modernize daily workflows by leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate shipping cycles and boost code quality.
- Shape the technical roadmap for core domains including order management, checkout pipelines, pricing engines, and cloud-native services.
skills and requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of leading large-scale system initiatives.
- Proficient in at least one major language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Go, or Python (strong experience with Node.js backend development is highly advantageous).
- Deep expertise in building cloud-native applications on AWS and managing distributed systems architectures.
- Hands-on experience with core infrastructure and data tools such as ECS, Kubernetes, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Advanced familiarity with AI-native development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to optimize engineering efficiency
