What Makes This Role Special:
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into proposals that meet customer needs while protecting company margin and revenue targets
- Understand cost structures (materials, labour, cutting, configuration) and price accordingly. For example: if a customer requests a non-standard quantity or modification, you know how to price for the additional work rather than simply discounting
- Highlight Swagelok's product quality, reliability, and total cost of ownership rather than competing on price alone
- Your proposals directly contribute to departmental revenue and gross margin goals
- Provide technical clarifications, lead times, and cost breakdowns to help close deals
- Identify situations where standard pricing should be adjusted upward (e.g., special configurations, urgent orders, small quantities) and justify this professionally to customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering/ Mechanical Engineer/ Material Science, or related field with 3 - 5 years of working experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, or datasheets is an advantage.
- Knowledge of fluid system components (tubing, fittings, valves) is an advantage but not mandatory — product training will be provided
