Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and presented according to quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and work areas
  • Manage kitchen stock for daily operation and food cost control
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries according to FIFO (First In First Out) practice
  • Assist on month-end stock take
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior from time to time

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar kitchen role preferred
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Able to perform spilt shift, work on weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods
  • Passion for food and willingness to learn
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
