Key Responsibilities
- Lead the QS team, coordinate and oversee team performance
- Oversee all aspects of QS processes
- Ensure quality of QS works and compliance with relevant legislations
- Coordinate preparation of project budgets and cost estimates
- Oversee contract management of variation works
- Oversee contract administration including final completion, statutory completion and final cost reports
- Oversee contract documentation and maintenance of database
- Review and approve payment certifications
- Conduct project audits
- Review schedule of rates and build up star rates
- Compile half-yearly tender rates and price information
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction cost management
- Familiarity with standard forms of contracts, valuation of variations, and handling contractual disputes
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Science, Project Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant QS experience in construction, maintenance, A&A, or estate upgrading projects
- Experience in public sector or town council projects will be an advantage
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Membership with SISV or other relevant professional bodies will be an advantage
