Data Integration Specialist

ATG Nexus Sdn. Bhd., a proud subsidiary of Ancom Nylex Berhad, is looking for a motivated Data Integration Specialist to join our Analytics Department and contribute to delivering impactful data integration and analytics solutions.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop Data Integration Solutions: Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions that enable efficient, reliable, and secure data flow across systems and applications to support business objectives and data-driven decision-making.
• Design and Maintain ETL Processes: Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract data from source systems, transform it into usable formats, and load it into target systems while ensuring performance and scalability.
• Analyse Data Requirements and Ensure Data Quality: Work with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements while performing data validation and quality assurance activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout the integration lifecycle.
• Configure and Optimise Data Integration Platforms: Configure, maintain, and optimise data integration tools and platforms such as Talend, Azure Data Factory, and other relevant technologies to support seamless and efficient data integration processes.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders and Provide Technical Support: Work closely with team members, business users, and stakeholders to troubleshoot integration issues, optimise data flows, and provide technical support while maintaining clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Drive Continuous Learning and Improvement: Keep up to date with the latest data integration technologies, tools, and best practices while contributing to the continuous improvement of data integration methodologies, standards, and governance practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience Level: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data integration, ETL development, data management, database development, or a related area.
• Data Integration & Data Management Knowledge: Good understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, data modelling, data warehousing principles, and data management best practices.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL with experience developing queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation. Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is required.
• Data Integration Tools & Technologies: Practical experience with at least one data integration platform or ETL tool such as Informatica PowerCenter, Talend Data Integration, Azure Data Factory, Pentaho Data Integration, SSIS, or other relevant technologies. Exposure to cloud-based data integration platforms such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory will be an added advantage.
• Business Intelligence & Data Visualisation Tools: Familiarity with data visualisation and business intelligence tools such as Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or other relevant technologies will be an added advantage, particularly for validating and presenting integrated data effectively.
• Programming & Scripting Knowledge: Basic to intermediate programming or scripting skills in Python, Java, PowerShell, or similar languages will be an added advantage for automating data integration processes and supporting technical implementations.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot data integration issues, perform data validation activities, and optimise data flows effectively.
• Communication & Collaboration: Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, business users, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable data integration solutions.
• Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Demonstrates a willingness to learn emerging technologies, adapt to evolving business requirements, and continuously enhance technical capabilities and data integration best practices.
