Role Purpose
The Strategy Analyst is responsible in upholding the organisation's commitment to strategic excellence and growth. The incumbent is accountable for influencing key decision-making processes and measuring success through the tangible impact of recommendations on strategic objectives. This position necessitates active involvement in strategic planning, thorough external and internal data analysis, performance monitoring, and effective cross-functional collaboration. The principle activities of this role will be carried out in close collaboration with the strategy team members and other IMU colleagues, emphasising team work and collaboration nature of the position.
Principal Accountabilities
- Analyse external and internal data to provide insights that support informed strategic decisions.
- Use industry, customer and organisation data to help define variables that can enhance or detract from business and operations.
- Contribute to planning and development of new strategies and tactical processes to meet organisation’s objectives.
- Monitor and report on the key metrics and strategic initiatives.
- Generate options and provide recommendations to facilitate issues resolution and risks mitigation.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration especially in managing interdependencies between initiatives.
- Evaluate effectiveness of the strategies and recommend changes as needed.
- Other ad hoc duties that support the department activities.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or other relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in project management, management reporting, business/data analytics, audit, consultancy, process improvement, or related fields.
- Experience in supporting senior management, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and preparing reports or dashboards will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
- Able to prioritise tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
- A collaborative team player who is adaptable, curious and open to innovation.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
