Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Technical Department in managing and coordinating technical projects.
- Plan work schedules and coordinate daily tasks with the operations team.
- Ensure manpower, materials, tools and documentation are ready before work begins.
- Prepare work orders, project schedules and task instructions for site teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to the required timeline.
- Coordinate site visits, site access and work arrangements with clients.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including:
- Method Statements
- Risk Assessments and HIRARC
- Permit to Work documents
- Testing and Commissioning Reports
- Service and Technical Reports
- Progress and Project Completion Reports
- Collect site information, photographs, readings and test results from technicians.
- Follow up with the operations team on pending tasks, reports and project issues.
- Assist in preparing quotations, project costing, material lists and technical proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors regarding materials, pricing and work schedules.
- Attend site meetings, technical discussions and client meetings when required.
- Maintain proper records of project documents, correspondence and approvals.
- Identify operational issues and escalate critical matters to the Head of Technical Department.
- Ensure the operations team clearly understands the work scope and client requirements.
- Perform other project and technical duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Valid Chargeman certificate is advantages.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant experience in project coordination, technical operations or electrical work will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, LV switchboards and generator systems is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to prepare reports and communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good organisational, documentation and time-management skills.
- Able to coordinate multiple projects and follow up on tasks independently.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, proactive and able to work as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel to project sites.
- Willing to work beyond normal office hours when required by project operations.
