Role Description The Senior Network Technical Specialist will be in Managed Services & is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. Act as the technical lead for complex network design, implementation, and troubleshooting across client environments; close the team's current gap in Network Access Control (NAC) and enterprise NGFW vendors; mentor junior engineers and act as escalation point alongside the Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• To perform ticket handling and perform routine checks and maintenance to customer’s infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot enterprise switching, wireless, and firewall solutions across multi-vendor environments.
• Provide advanced support for enterprise NGFW platforms (Palo Alto, FortiGate) & enterprise grade switching products such as Cisco, Aruba & Arista.
• Act as a escalation point for junior engineers in an 24/7 basis.
• Act as a standby personnel upon request during the peak of team's capacity.
• Review and approve network changes raised by junior engineers.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for major incidents and lead remediation.
• Mentor and upskill junior network engineers; contribute to internal knowledge base and SOPs.
• Liaise with clients/vendors on network architecture, capacity planning, and security posture.
• Travelling to the field/site is required as necessary.
• Any other tasks that are required due to the exigency of business from time to time. 
• Good time management, punctuality, positive attitude, high quality self-management with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years hands-on network engineering experience in an enterprise/MSP environment.
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Networking Concept and Network Design to support and manage robust/complicated network environments.
• Candidates should possess solid Network Administration skills to manage, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting capabilities to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
• Proficient with networking technologies such as VLANs, STP, Layer2/Layer3 is a must.
• Experience with enterprise networking technologies such as VXLAN, vDOM is an advantage.
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) such as Clearpass, Cisco ISE is preferred.
• Experience with supporting customer from Financial Service Institute is preferred.
• Certifications such as CCNP, Aruba ACCP/ACDP, Fortinet NSE 7 and above, or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a MSP background is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
