1) Infrastructure Management
a) Enterprise Solution Standards, Target-State Alignment & Roadmap
- Develop and manage enterprise solution principles, architecture patterns, and technology roadmaps.
- Ensure solution designs align with enterprise architecture, University strategies, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions, including cloud approaches.
- Monitor emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement and adoption standards.
- Conduct solution assessments, define risks, assumptions, and success measures.
b) Enterprise Architecture Design, Governance & Compliance
- Analyse current-state architectures across business processes, applications, data, integration, security, and infrastructure.
- Design end-to-end solutions with cross-functional teams to meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop and govern HLD, DLD, and LLD documentation throughout solution delivery.
- Ensure architecture designs comply with enterprise standards, cybersecurity requirements, and IT governance frameworks.
- Oversee design compliance, operational readiness, support models, monitoring, and disaster recovery considerations.
- Promote reusable solution patterns to improve scalability, integration, and reduce complexity.
c) Enterprise Solution Delivery Across On-Prem, Cloud & Data Centre Transformation
- Provide enterprise solution architecture leadership across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and data centre environments.
- Drive technology modernisation aligned with business and application outcomes.
- Promote effective use of virtualisation, containerisation, and platform technologies.
- Ensure robust data, integration, and governance considerations are embedded in solutions.
- Apply security-by-design principles covering identity, access, encryption, auditing, and risk management.
d) Project & Program Delivery Leadership
- Lead enterprise solution delivery across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational transition.
- Manage solution architecture streams within complex projects to achieve reliable outcomes and service objectives.
- Resolve complex cross-system technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Support change management through migration planning, rollout strategies, and operational readiness
e) Stakeholder Engagement, Advisory
- Provide customer-focused enterprise solution guidance aligned with business objectives and performance targets.
- Advise stakeholders on technical, operational, cost, and risk considerations.
- Communicate architecture recommendations through clear briefings, decision papers, and executive summaries.
- Collaborate with academic and non-academic stakeholders to ensure solutions meet needs and support successful adoption.
f) Leadership & Transformation
- Initiate and manage continuous improvement initiatives (standardisation, simplification, consolidation, cost optimisation).
- Lead stakeholder expectation management and change management across faculties and departments.
- Improve client satisfaction and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Lead meetings and presentations with vendors and stakeholders to communicate architectural plans and solutions.
2) Policy & Planning
- Assist and support the Manager, Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Risk to implement and to ensure compliance with all University IT-related policies.
3) Documentation
- Develop and maintain various procedural and technical documents in areas such as customer service and application support.
4) Report
- Prepare and provide reports on the relevant information as and when needed by the Management.
5) Liaison and Interaction
- Work effectively and with flexibility as a member of the team in providing input, advice and assistance as and when required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or other related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Master’s degree holder can be considered.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience including one (1) year at supervisory level in leading a team of staff.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware) are preferred.
- Proven experience in enterprise architecture, cloud/infrastructure programs, and developing HLD, DLD, and LLD documentation.
- Strong knowledge of architecture governance, ITIL/ITSM, Agile, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions and ensure design-to-implementation alignment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to emerging technologies and work flexible hours when required.
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
