About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our plastic injection moulding engineering team. This role is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence, process optimization, tooling improvement, and ensuring high-quality production output in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will play a key leadership role in supporting new product introduction (NPI), improving production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team in plastic injection moulding operations
• Oversee process development, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive tooling design review, mould maintenance strategy, and troubleshooting activities
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept to mass production
• Improve cycle time, yield, scrap reduction, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, and R&D teams to resolve technical issues
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements (medical device environment if applicable)
• Manage CAPA, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
• Develop engineering standards, SOPs, and best practices across manufacturing processes
• Lead technical training and capability development for engineers and technicians

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• 7–12 years of experience in plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment
• Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership / managerial role
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, tooling, and polymer materials
• Experience in medical device or high-precision manufacturing is an advantage
• Familiar with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
