We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Security & Safety Manager to lead all security operations, administrative functions, and safety initiatives at Meliá Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding employees, guests, and company assets, while ensuring strict compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. This role demands strong leadership, strategic oversight, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and safe environment across the property.

Key Responsibilities

Security Leadership: Oversee and manage all functions of the Security Department, ensuring effective coordination of personnel and resources.

Strategic Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive safety and security strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

Training & Awareness: Drive Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives, including staff training and awareness campaigns.

Operational Oversight: Organize and supervise daily deployment schedules to guarantee full coverage across all areas.

Emergency Readiness: Lead preparedness programs such as fire safety training, evacuation drills, and emergency response planning.

Reporting & Evaluation: Produce daily incident summaries and annual security objectives, track progress, and enforce corrective measures.

Risk & Hazard Control: Collaborate with management to identify hazards and ensure timely corrective actions.

Technology & Systems: Ensure personnel are proficient in operating surveillance, fire detection, and monitoring systems.

Access Management: Establish and enforce entry/exit protocols for employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles, including discretionary inspections.

Incident Handling: Investigate thefts and other security breaches, applying sound judgment in case resolution.

External Coordination: Maintain strong working relationships with police, fire, and other relevant authorities.

Performance Supervision: Review staff performance, monitor logs, and address irregularities promptly.

Additional Functions: Execute supervisory responsibilities and other assignments as directed.

Qualifications

Extensive Experience: Demonstrated track record in security management or related disciplines.

Leadership & Organization: Strong ability to lead teams, manages operations, and coordinates resources effectively.

Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of safety legislation, emergency protocols, and surveillance technologies.

Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent interpersonal skills with proven capability in resolving issues decisively.

Flexibility: Willingness to work variable schedules, including weekends and non-standard hours.

Occupational Safety & Health (OSH): Must possess a recognized OSH qualification (e.g., Safety and Health Officer Certification approved by DOSH Malaysia or equivalent).

Fire Safety Management (FSM): Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) or holder of equivalent fire safety credentials recognized by local authorities.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
