Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and team in planning, coordinating, and executing project activities.

• Supervise daily site operations to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.

• Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and method statements before implementation.

• Ensure all works comply with contract requirements, relevant codes, standards, and local authority regulations.

• Coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules, and equipment requirements for site activities.

• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with Quality Assurance/Quality

Control (QA/QC) requirements.

• Identify technical issues on site and propose practical engineering solutions.

• Assist in preparing Requests for Information (RFI), shop drawings, material submissions, and other project documentation.

• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions with stakeholders.

• Monitor project schedules and recommend corrective actions to minimize delays.

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations and company safety procedures.

• Support testing, commissioning, inspections, and project handover activities.

• Maintain accurate project records, including site diaries, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, M&E, or fire protection projects.

• Good knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and applicable codes and standards.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.

• Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, and site coordination.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with project stakeholders.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD; knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.

• Possession of a valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites (JB).

• Professional certifications such as CIDB Green Card or NIOSH Safety Passport are an added advantage.
