Role Description The Presales Network Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bukit Jalil. This role is responsible for supporting the sales team by designing and proposing network and ICT solutions that address customer requirements, including network infrastructure, security, storage, and system integration. Day-to-day tasks include engaging with prospective clients, gathering technical and business requirements, preparing solution architectures and bills of materials, and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations. The Presales Network Engineer collaborates closely with internal technical teams to validate solution feasibility and with account managers to develop proposals, RFP responses, and tender documentation. The role also involves staying current with industry trends, vendor technologies, and best practices to ensure that recommended solutions are competitive, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Strong networking knowledge, including routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and TCP/IP fundamentals; familiarity with enterprise network architectures and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure remote access, and related security best practices.
• Understanding of storage and system solutions, including servers, virtualization, and basic cloud or hybrid infrastructure concepts.
• Presales and customer-facing skills, including requirements gathering, solution design, proposal development, and delivering technical presentations or demos.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, prepare clear documentation (diagrams, solution briefs, and BOMs), and collaborate with sales and technical teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, Network+, security or vendor-specific certifications) are advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies and industry trends.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in a professional business environment.
