Job Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Mechanical Engineering students to join our PROTÉGÉ Trainee Programme. This internship provides hands-on exposure to engineering operations, technical support, maintenance activities, and project execution in a professional working environment.

As a PROTÉGÉ Trainee, you will work closely with experienced engineers, gain practical industry knowledge, and develop the technical and professional skills needed for a successful engineering career. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment at the water and wastewater treatment facility.
• Conduct routine inspections on pumps, motors, blowers, valves, and piping systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any abnormalities to the Site Engineer.
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
• Record daily operational and maintenance data accurately.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical equipment failures.
• Assist in preparing maintenance reports, inspection checklists, and service documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, including the proper use of PPE.
• Support site testing, commissioning, and equipment performance verification when required.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and JPS representatives during site activities.
• Participate in technical training, toolbox meetings, and continuous learning programmes to enhance engineering knowledge and skills.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company or immediate supervisor in line with the objectives of the PROTÉGÉ Programme.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
