We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with senior pharmacists and the management team to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications. Key Responsibilities
- Prescription Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter (OTC) products in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Patient Counseling: Provide clear guidance to customers on medication dosage, administration, potential side effects, and storage requirements.
- Inventory & Medication Management: Assist in monitoring stock levels, ensuring proper storage (including cold chain management), and maintaining accurate records of controlled substances.
- OTC & Wellness Advice: Recommend appropriate health supplements, wellness products, and non-prescription treatments based on customer needs.
- Clinical Verification: Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage appropriateness, and potential drug-drug interactions before dispensing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to local health regulations, pharmacy laws, and patient confidentiality protocols.
- Interprofessional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with doctors and other healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions or optimize patient therapy.
- Health Promotion: Participate in health screening activities and provide advice on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- Licensing: Must be a Registered Pharmacist with Lembaga Farmasi Malaysia.
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting is an advantage. However, we welcome those who have just finished their Provisional Registered Pharmacist training and are looking to start their career in the private sector.
