Job Description

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Involved in drafting of functional specifications and detailed design specification documentation.

  • Perform design and development of Software, PLC and Interfaces.

  • Perform software implementation, system integration, testing and commissioning of advanced control systems such as AMR, robotics and complex machine systems.

  • Provide end-user training and after-sales support.

  • Undertake additional tasks & responsibilities as and when required or instructed.


Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Automation, Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT.

  • Experience in automation software development.

  • Knowledge in Industrial Automation or a related field is advantageous.

  • Strong proficiency in software engineering is essential.

  • Able to independently develop, maintain, test, and troubleshoot Python applications.

  • Experience with development of SCADA systems such as iFix, Citect, or Wonderware.

  • Familiarity with PLCs programming including Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff, and Omron is preferred.

  • Proficiency in configuring and optimizing Fieldbus systems such as ASI-Bus, DeviceNet, Profibus, Profinet, ControlNet, Ethernet/IP, EtherCat, and CClink.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively as a dynamic team player with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in supplier/vendor management and leading small project teams with cross-disciplinary personnel.

  • Demonstrated eagerness to explore and study new technologies, and willingness to undertake challenging tasks. Creative, innovative, and results-oriented mindset.

  • Proficiency in maintaining proper documentation throughout the development process and engineering change process.

  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

  • Applicants must have the capability to work independently and possess a strong drive for technology.

  • Willingness to travel and work on overseas projects is mandatory.
