Project Supervisor (1-Year Contract) – Johor Bahru
We are an established Interior Design and Renovation company seeking committed, responsible, and experienced individuals to join our team for ongoing and upcoming projects based in Johor Bahru.
Employment Type
Fixed-Term Contract (1 Year)
- This position is offered on a one (1) year fixed-term contract.
- Medical Leave (MC) entitlement is provided in accordance with the company's policy and applicable employment requirements.
- Upon successful completion of the one (1) year contract, the company may, at its sole discretion, offer permanent employment based on the employee's work performance, attitude, operational requirements, and mutual agreement between both parties.
- If appointed as a permanent employee, a Confirmation Letter will be issued, and the employee will thereafter be entitled to the company's employment benefits applicable to permanent staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in architectural, interior fit-out, renovation, or construction site supervision.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on site coordination skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willing to travel and work outstation throughout West Malaysia whenever required.
- Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
- Must possess a personal laptop for work purposes.
- Responsible, punctual, disciplined, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Any act of dishonesty, misconduct, negligence, or breach of company policies may result in immediate termination of employment.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site operations, subcontractors, and manpower.
- Coordinate material deliveries and monitor project progress.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on site coordination and technical matters.
- Conduct daily site inspections and report project progress and site issues to the Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with company safety requirements and client/site regulations.
- Prepare, maintain, and update Variation Order (V.O.) records and submit reports to the Project Manager or Contracts Department.
Documentation Responsibilities
- Daily Site Report.
- Daily/Weekly Work Progress Photos.
- Material Delivery & Usage Records.
- Subcontractor Work Log.
- Site Safety Checklist.
- Variation Order (V.O.) Records and Work Done Verification.
- Manpower & Equipment Log.
Working Hours
- Six (6) working days per week (Monday to Saturday).
- Saturday: Half-day.
- Total working hours: 45 hours per week.
- Overtime will be paid in accordance with the company's policy.
- Employees are expected to remain contactable and respond to urgent project matters outside normal working hours whenever required.
Attendance & Working Location
- Employees are required to check in and check out via the designated Company WhatsApp Group on every working day.
- Check-in must be performed only upon arrival at the assigned project site.
- Check-out must be performed only before leaving the assigned project site at the end of the working day.
- Check-in or check-out from home, the office, while travelling, or from any location other than the assigned project site is strictly prohibited unless prior written approval has been obtained from Management.
- Employees are responsible for planning their daily travel to and from the assigned project site.
- Travel time, traffic congestion, weather conditions, road closures, or any commuting delays are the employee's sole responsibility and shall not be considered as working time.
- Employees are expected to allow sufficient travelling time to ensure punctual attendance at the assigned project site.
Outstation Assignment
- Employees must be willing to travel and work outstation throughout West Malaysia whenever assigned by the company.
- Accommodation for approved outstation assignments will be arranged or borne by the company.
- Employees are expected to report directly to the assigned project site during outstation assignments.
Vehicle Maintenance & Allowance
Employees using their personal vehicle for company business shall comply with the following:
- Official workshop invoices must be submitted for reimbursement.
- The company will reimburse 50% of the cost for normal servicing, battery replacement, and tyre repairs.
- Major repairs, including engine repairs or repairs are not claimable.
Fuel & Toll
- A Shell Petrol Card will be provided for official project-related travel only.
- Petrol is strictly for official company business and project-related travel.
- Fuel usage or fuel claims on non-working days are strictly prohibited unless prior written approval has been obtained from Management for official company duties.
- Toll claims must be supported by the official toll transaction statement (Usage amount only will be calculated).
- Touch 'n Go reload receipts are not claimable (TOP UP).

- Candidates must be physically fit and willing to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Candidates must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and demonstrate a high level of commitment, responsibility, and professionalism.
