BACKGROUND

Baycom Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian based technology company with 25 years' experience developing and implementing communication and information solutions.

In 2025, Baycom entered into a partnership with Gcore Labs. Through this partnership, Baycom is now offering scalable Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and advanced cybersecurity solutions as a robust, lower-latency, and cost-effective alternative to traditional hyperscalers.

We are looking for a Technical Solutions Manager to join the team to build our regional Cloud Services footprint. 

OVERVIEW

Responsible for driving design, development and delivery of Cloud, AI, CDN & Security solutions. For coordinating between customers, partners, vendors, sales teams, and technical teams to develop solution architectures, support pre-sales activities, manage technical proposals and tenders, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee strategic technology initiatives.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Business Development Support, Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Support sales / BD team providing technical expertise during customer engagements.
• Evaluate technical requirements and recommend appropriate architectures.
• Design and develop end-to-end solutions involving Content Delivery Networks (CDN); Cloud infrastructure; AI and Network and connectivity solutions.

2.Project & Stakeholder Coordination 

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver customer requirements.
• Manage discussions between customers, vendors, and internal departments.
• Facilitate technical reviews and solution planning sessions.

3.Customer Deployment / Post Migration Support

• Lead deployment of tailored cloud solutions, ensuring all architectural designs executed on time and adhere to industry best practices.
• Act as technical escalation for post-deployment to troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents, manage incident response, and ensure strict adherence to client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

4.Partner & Vendor Management 

• Engage technology partners to evaluate products, services, and solution offerings.
• Obtain technical, commercial, and compliance information from vendors.
• Coordinate proof-of-concepts, solution demonstrations, and technical evaluations.
• Maintain strong working relationships with telco, cloud, CDN, and infra partners.

5.Product Strategy

• Keep to date emerging technologies and new business opportunities.
• Monitor and keep abreast of the latest regulatory requirements, policies, standards, and guidelines issued by MCMC and other relevant authorities.
• Contribute to product positioning and market strategy.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in a client-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, Pre-sales, or Systems Integration.
• Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure & Services such as Content Delivery Networks (CDN); OTT Platforms & Streaming Technologies; Network Architecture & Internet Transit, AI Cloud Infrastructure and Cybersecurity
• Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues on the fly and design scalable workarounds.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts, architectures, and limitations to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Excellent emotional intelligence with ability to manage client expectations, push back gently when necessary, and navigate difficult conversations.
• Proven ability to work in a small, entrepreneurial and high energy team.
