As an R&D Associate in the chemical industry, you will play a crucial role in advancing technology, developing new products, and improving existing ones. Your work will contribute to innovation, safety, and growth within the organization. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including chemists, engineers, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Research and Experimentation:
• Conduct experiments to evaluate new product ideas and enhancements.
• Analyze data obtained from experiments and document findings.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify trends and opportunities.
• Product Development:
• Design and test prototypes for new chemical products.
• Work closely with process engineers to scale up processes for commercialization.
• Ensure that desirable features and functions are retained during product development.
• Technology Implementation:
• Translate research concepts into practical applications for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with chemists to create and analyze different formulations.
• Early process design and optimization fall under your responsibilities.
• Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
• Use analytical chemistry skills to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Address challenges related to contamination, byproducts, and quality control.
• Documentation and Intellectual Property:
• Maintain detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or related field (advanced degrees are advantageous).
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of chemistry principles.
• Experience with laboratory equipment, experimental design, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in laboratory or research roles preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
