Job Responsibilities:

• Identify potential suppliers and conduct comprehensive evaluations based on criteria such as price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
• Maintain a database of approved suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Develop and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies to achieve budgetary objectives while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze purchasing trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Oversee the ordering process, ensuring accurate and timely procurement of goods and services.
• Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and avoid shortages.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier contracts, including supply chain disruptions.
• Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Evaluate supplier performance against predefined KPIs and take corrective action as needed.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and training. Delegate tasks and ensure team members are aligned with organizational goals.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
• General understand and broad knowledge of purchasing system in manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of government policies and procedures related to procurement.
• Experienced in dealing with Forwarding Agent, Custom and related agencies.
• Good knowledge in Sales Tax , ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Excellent in negotiations and vendor management skills
• Having technical knowledge especially in Engineering is an added advantage.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
