Our client, a well-established company in the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced C++ Trading Application Developer to join its technology team based in Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing low-latency C++ applications, preferably within trading or financial systems.
- Strong proficiency in Modern C++ (C++11/14), including STL, Boost, template metaprogramming, and type safety.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and computational complexity.
- Experience with low-level system programming, including threading, I/O, signals, and shared memory.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, UDP, and socket programming.
- Experience with distributed systems, exchange connectivity, market gateways, or Smart Order Routing (SOR).
- Familiarity with financial protocols such as FIX; knowledge of ITCH, OUCH, or PITCH is an advantage.
- Experience with in-memory data stores such as Redis.
- Understanding of event-driven and reactive programming architectures.
- Exposure to Golang and basic knowledge of Rust is an added advantage.
- Experience with multi-threading, lock-free programming, NUMA awareness, and performance tuning for low-latency systems.
- Familiarity with kernel bypass, IPC/RPC mechanisms, and system-level optimisation techniques is preferred.
- Experience designing simulation platforms, back-testing frameworks, or trading research infrastructure is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading applications primarily using C++, with exposure to Golang and Rust.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable software solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Write clean, reusable, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Maintain existing applications and implement automated and unit testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
- Optimise application performance, scalability, and system security for low-latency environments.
- Provide production support by monitoring, analysing, and resolving live system issues.
- Contribute to the design of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and real-time data processing solutions.
Pay: Up to RM18,000.00 per month
