Job Description

• Bachelors Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
• Professional Certification in a relevant field
• Required language(s): English - both written and verbal.
• Have experience in financial consolidation.
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): data entry, communication, spreadsheets/excel, invoicing, email, Xero.

We require a senior accountant to run the accounts for our rapidly growing company. This is a full-time role with expected working hours of 9 am till 6 pm.

It is a hybrid role with time split between working from home and working at the office. You must own a laptop and have access to the internet. The company has a global client base and therefore work outside of office hours may be required in emergencies.

You shall work directly with the head of accounts and stakeholders who shall bring you up to speed with the current processes of the company and the various accounts.

The duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing the Company’s accounting systems and maintaining complete, accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the preparation of full sets of accounts, bank reconciliations, and debtor and creditor statements.
• Compiling, reviewing and analysing accounting and financial information to ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of the Company’s records and reports.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, arranging payments, issuing billings and following up on outstanding balances.
• Monitoring the Company’s incoming and outgoing cash flows and maintaining proper records of all receipts and payments.
• Preparing periodic and consolidated financial statements, management accounts, budgets, forecasts and other financial reports as required.
• Coordinating the timely preparation and submission of accounting, management, statutory and tax reports in accordance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance and administrative functions, including identifying, investigating and resolving discrepancies and operational issues.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, banks, auditors, professional advisers, government authorities and other relevant parties on accounting, financial and administrative matters.
• Reviewing and recommending improvements to accounting, reporting, internal control and administrative processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performing general administrative duties, including maintaining records, managing correspondence, preparing documents, coordinating meetings and monitoring relevant deadlines.
• Providing general operational and administrative support to management and other departments, and undertaking other duties reasonably required by the Company.

You will be responsible for handling sensitive information in a confidential manner. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
